January 9, 2021 - The last bottle of 6 I had and drank over the years. What else can I say about this wine that hasnt already been said? This is hands down the best California (or even the world) sav blanc I have ever had. Even at 10 years old now - this still drinks so elegant, young, vibrant, and just plain delicious. Everything you can want in a sav blanc this offers. I drank this last bottle over 2 days - it was better on the second day, much more open and fragrant. Nose of freshly squeezed meyer lemons, orange peel, grapefruit. The palate is rich, opulent, and full bodied for a sav blanc. A finish that lasts long and leaves you wanting to take another sip. Everything you can want from a sav blanc right here!

October 17, 2020 - This has been a fantastic drinking experience. This is such a well made sav blanc and designed to age. We had this with home made coconut shrimp and it was fantastic. The nose was complex with hints of honeysuckle, pear, and some more stone fruits. The nose was a little muted because its temperature was a bit on the cooler side. As it warmed up to room temperature it became much more fragrant. It is medium bodied - very well made. Does not have that typical harsh acidity that you sometimes get with domestic sav blanc. This is very elegant and reminds me a bit of a white Bordeaux but more muscular. Drank this over 1 hour and it kept improving.

Definitely recommend bringing this up to room temperature because it becomes much more vibrant. Fantastic bottle of wine!

April 1, 2020 - This was a great bottle! During the pandemic - we decided to be adventurous and make some home made stir fry chicken with broccoli and rice noodles. Took this wine out of the cellar at 55 degree - opened it for about 15 minutes and it was absolutely perfect! The nose was filled with lots of rich Granny Smith apples, baked apple pie, a touch of vanilla. The palate is medium bodied, great acidity, round, balanced, and doesn't have that harsh bite that a lot of sauvignon blancs have. The pairing was perfect! I was shocked at how good this bottle was - and how good my cooking was! (even my wife said it was good :p)

I have 2 more bottles of this - such a great SB, wish I had more. They have been so good to me. I am sold that this is some of the best - if not THEE best sauvignon blanc out there. Cheers! Hope you and your family are staying safe during this time.

December 31, 2019 - Wow - what a sav blanc! You don't think of a sav blanc of this caliber, this is amazing. This is aged in French oak for 20 months and it is designed for the long haul - this now 9 year old wine is so vibrant, refreshing, and easy drinking. The nose is very elegant with layers of honey suckle, toasted croissants, and hints of peach, pineapple, and vanilla. The palate is rich, medium bodied, elegant, racy, and with good acidity. The finish is long.

Usually sav blanc needs to be served cool to cold - not this one! I've kept it in my cellar at 55, but we brought it to a BYOB restaurant and when it came up to room temperature it was even more expressive and overall better. Easily one of the best white wines I've ever had. Feel that this is drinking at its peak now. Cheers to 2020!
