April 13, 2019 - this seemed to be drinking ok. Maybe a bit tight. the sweetness has subsided from the smack you in the face variety to that stage where you notice if it you look for it. It's clearly sweet, but it doesn't proclaim it. mediumish finish. Presently a bit shy in the mid palate

February 20, 2019 - I had a bottle two months ago, and I thought things were opening up. This bottle was shut down hard. The material is clearly there, but it did not express itself over several hours. I left the rest to try again in 24 hours.

December 6, 2018 - Three years since my last bottle, and this is beginning to open up again, in a very early glimpse of what it will become. It appears that it will become bottled joy. Riesling angels dance on the head of a pin, and spread fruit, stone, smoke and a hint of petrol in their wake. It’s light and elegant, but full of flavor. It’s a clear picture of the Mosel, and the stony depths of the Schlossberg.

April 26, 2018 - This is an outstanding Kabinett in a perfect place right now. Very harmonious. Fruit, minerals, acidity, finish - everything coming together as it should to create a refreshing drinking experience.

March 24, 2018 - Note after the fact, so no specifics... other than to say that it was awesome. If I had more I would hold for longer term, maybe start visiting again in 2024

December 24, 2016 - Drank Christmas eve, so recollection is a bit hazy but positive impression is strong. Rich, nice layers of yellow stone fruit--light peach, pear, apricot and mineral. Generously smooth on palate but with enough acid to balance sweetness and make a moderate long finish worth savoring. Maybe a bit of resin (not so much petrol) too.

June 9, 2016 - Ok, didn't rock me tonight. Felt like it needed a bit more zip. Might of needed a bit more of a chill though.

May 28, 2016 - A beautiful bottle of riesling. Lots of peach & pear with a mineral-driven core. Ultra refreshing but more nuanced and subtle. Lots of great depth, too. A great example of entry level Kabinett that punches well above its weight.
