January 29, 2017 - The second of two French roses offered at a tasting. A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Clairette, Mourvedre, Bourboulence and Picoul. This was my first experience with a Tavel Rose.
Fresh salmon in color, this wine had a vibrant, berry nose; dry fruit on the palate with some alcohol on the finish.

August 21, 2015 - A good Tavel rosé. This has a small aroma, but it does pick up some depth as this opens up. There's a little bright fruit, some sharpness, and a hint of sour. The flavor is still somewhat rich, fruity, bright, with a little nutty finish. Crystal clear ruby color in the glass, with a bronze tint under the right light.

    Tasted between 63–74°F.

July 12, 2015 - Working our way through the rest of these '12s. Has put on some weight over the years without giving up much freshness. Dark salmon in the Spiegelau and dripping with legs. In fact, this would be a nice offering with cedar-grilled salmon on a hot summer night. Wet stones and whiffs of rosemary in the nose. Juicy ripe peaches and melon slices with faint herbs on the palate, with honeydew, cantaloupe and tropical notes followed by mineral notes in a long finish. Vintage after vintage this producer offers a delicious bottle of Tavel at a very reasonable tariff. A wine to buy by the case.

June 11, 2015 - Waiting until its third year did no harm with this bottle. Deep Tavel colour. Lively nose with red fruit and a touch of boiled sweet. Medium bodied palate with enough backbone to stand up to food and more attractive fruit as the nose presaged, quite lively acidity and less heaviness that often with Tavel. Good+.

December 29, 2014 - Rose' on a cold winter's night? Sure, why not. Has the stuffins to hold up. In fact, it's a rose' that wishes it was a red. Salmon colored with decent legs. Light strawberry and field flower notes in the nose. Creamy mouthfeel with precise acidity. Zesty strawberry, quince and gooseberry on the palate, with a refreshing finish. Lighter than previous vintages. But still a go-to wine when we want rose'.

December 13, 2014 - Interesting wine for its color -- and very attractive. Better once on the tongue than just in the nose -- fruity, mildly acidic and alcohol taste without the strong tannin finish you get from the same grapes when left on the skins longer to finish the deep red color.

July 24, 2014 - Not my favorite. Scents of rose petals. Flavor was lacking.

July 12, 2014 - Decent rose, a bit thin, with nose of fresh strawberry. Taste of strawberry with some berry too. Good on a hot summer afternoon in Phoenix.

July 11, 2014 - Very nice on a hot day, with its reddish colour and inviting aromas with echoes of strawberries, but somehow does not leave quit the same impression as the Tempier Bandol rosé.

June 24, 2014 - A bit to thin for my palate, might be the year, as most Tavels are more pronounced.
