December 26, 2020 - Drank a little late per recommended dates. Flat at first but better after being open for an hour. Probably was a great wine a couple of years ago. Still good with medium body.

January 5, 2019 - Pretty standard Rioja with mixed fruit spice and pepper. Going toward plum with medium tannins and acid after decanting. Good long finish. Best with acid foods like tomatoes. Day 2 it is much more balanced with dark fruit and spice.

May 7, 2017 - This matured faster than I thought it would-- seems to maybe be at its peak right now, with the fruits drying out.

August 2, 2016 - PnP. Dusty meaty coffee infused red fruit and fig aromas. Needs to open out. Highish acidity. After 30 mins fills out and is quite oaky and figgy. After 90 mins aeration aromas of coffee, blackberries, vanilla, raspberries, strawberries and liquorice. Has a medium bodied quite oaky red and black fruited bold and luscious palate with excellent acidity and verve. Ends medium long and a bit earthy. Drink up.

July 21, 2016 - Great aroma, goes well with red meat, smooth on its own. Started drinking it at 55°F and the drinking it at 70°F. Still tasted good throughout the range.

April 29, 2016 - Drinking nicely now, but no rush-- can easily see this improving over the next 3 years, if not more. Oak noticeable on first opening, but quickly becomes part of a balanced package of dark cherry and nice acidity.
