October 15, 2021 - Sweet and ripe, good balance and structure. 92
October 15, 2021 - Back to the auctions (Bar Bould Sud): Some darker, almost cassis notes. It's dried fruit and maybe a bit of potpourri. Drinking really nicely. Tasty.
May 30, 2021 - Charcuterie and masserated strawberries. Enough said. Delicious.
May 24, 2021 - Tasted blind. Beautiful nose of red cherries, menthol, and lots of depth while at the same time being quite delicate (in a good way). Excellent balance on the palate with flavors of red berries, good acidity and structure. Very long finish. Awesome wine, this even got better with air in the glass. 95-96, erring on the high side here.
May 8, 2021 - Very pretty strawberry and charcuterie. Soft and open.
January 16, 2021 - Almost as good as the last bottle. CdP doesn't get much better than this!
December 25, 2020 - Fading but still delicious. Paired with a prime rib roast for Christmas dinner.
November 26, 2020 - Had with Thanksgiving dinner. This was a fabulous bottle! Rich, pure, complex and fresh. So much better than the last bottle I tried a year ago. I'm going to drink my last 4 bottles soon in the hope they might be this good!!
November 25, 2020 - drank with friends with roasted chicken and root vegetables. was great; maybe has lost a little but was still smooth. perhaps a little lighter than at its peak.
October 10, 2020 - The Last Dance Magnum Dinner (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Magnum. Certainly slightly past its peak and maybe a little dirtier than I'd prefer (even from Beaucastel), but still so layered and enjoyable.
