A bit too alcoholic, still fruit, at his peak but not really perfectly balanced. 90 -

February 27, 2021 - Excellent syrah. Full bodied (bold) old world style. Surprisingly high in alcohol (16%) that cannot be detected. Very balaced and unmistakingly syrah. Still some unresolved tannins, not yet reached its top.

January 10, 2020 - Powerful wine, a scent of port-like concentration with black berries and pepper. Grippy, strong tannins. Taste slightly one-dimensional with an alcoholic and jammy mouthfeel.

November 19, 2017 - Massive nose with blue fruit, ink, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Packed dark fruit, asphalt, burnt notes. Big grippy tannins. High on alcohol. Tight as a safe deposit box at the moment, needs more cellartime and a balloon of air to maybe open up and reveal the quality locked in this powerhouse. Probably a great wine, but not my cup of tea.
