September 30, 2017 - A little musty nose. Beautiful classic aged Napa cab flavors. Dusty herbs and an extremely long finish.

April 16, 2016 - Still dark garnet color with some lighter red creeping in. Well balanced and mature - smooth tannins. Dark fruits and some cherry. Still excellent after 22 years.

February 20, 2015 - Deep, dark garnet in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive, developed & mature nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with lovely floral notes of violets, earthy, dusty, dried herbs, minerals, leather, spices, some cocoa notes followed by a hint of mint and toasted oak in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of mature & developed, well balanced, silky smooth textured, rich, ripe dark fruit flavors of sweet cherries, blackberries & plums with earthiness, some dark cocoa, dried herbs, spices, minerals and toasty oak. Long lingering smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present and should hold onto its plateau for a few more years but any further development would be minimal at best.
