    September 3, 2022 - badly corked!

  • LW31 Does not like this wine:

March 1, 2022 - Original release bottle. Sadly advanced and past prime.

  • tinybubbles Likes this wine:

February 17, 2021 - Round, and with good mouth feel. However, slightly past peak on the palate, not showing full delineation of elements that this wine can, nor any real focus. Enjoyable but overall only ok.

    September 3, 2020 - Served in a JRxRB Universal. Flower / 1006 hPa

Library release (early 2019) from Kermit Lynch. Color is crystal clear, bright, shiny straw yellow. Simply incredible given the age. The nose right off of opening is already brilliant. Lemon/lime, a touch of chamomile, and intense kombu umami, fresh crimini mushrooms, and oyster shells. As this got air, the oyster shell and seaweed aspects intensified with that characteristic Chablisienne iodine. The palate is brimming with racy acidity, lemon/lime, pears, and oyster shells. If you told me this was a 2010, I'd believe you. With air, the palate fleshes out with kombu, mushrooms, oyster shells, and rich iodine salinity while never losing the energy that '96 acid lends this wine. A long, umami, iodine, and acid driven finish. The vibrancy and energy in this wine are simply incredible for 24 years old, and this surpasses an even already exceptional bottle from the same lot back in Nov '19. One of, if not the greatest Chablis and wines of my life.

March 7, 2020 - Wine Tasted at Acker Auction (Marea - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Good depth but slightly more tart than I’d prefer.
