July 18, 2021 - Nice non-fruit nose while fruit is still there after 20+ years...

Med to dark garnet with narrow rim with hue of aged. Some sediment and should be decanted, however I didn't pull the cork for this tasting.

Med intensity on the nose with smoke quite outstanding and follow by both red fruit and black fruit, then some other oaky eartby.

Dry, med acidity, med smooth tannin and med bitterness.
Med intensity on the palates, med alcohol, med body and med aftertaste.

I like the leading smoke nose..

June 27, 2021 - Unbelievably aromatic nose and still plenty of fruit in evidence. Unlike previous reviewers, no drying note for me - just sweet plum. CT states that I should have drunk my half case four years ago - I don’t think so. Very glad to have two left.

  • Badfish Likes this wine:

October 31, 2019 - Deep dark garnet core with slight bricking at the rim. Initially this was a little funky but decanting with a couple hours of air cleared that up. Textbook left bank Bordeaux aromas with notes of red currant, forest floor, licorice, cigar box, and slate. The palate is classic in style with earthy red fruits, supple tannins, and supporting acidity. This wine is really quite charming in spite of the vintage with decently sweet fruit and a slightly drying finish. Great effort by this producer.

September 12, 2019 - Beautiful notes of red fruit, fresh, mineral, lots of graphite, hints of tobacco. I love the flavor profile and acidity here. This is pretty light yet features pure, sweet fruit and a very classic profile. Absolutely pleasurable.

December 29, 2018 - Both bottles had a flat nose and though tasted ok, I’m pretty sure they were corked. Odd.
