October 31, 2019 - Deep dark garnet core with slight bricking at the rim. Initially this was a little funky but decanting with a couple hours of air cleared that up. Textbook left bank Bordeaux aromas with notes of red currant, forest floor, licorice, cigar box, and slate. The palate is classic in style with earthy red fruits, supple tannins, and supporting acidity. This wine is really quite charming in spite of the vintage with decently sweet fruit and a slightly drying finish. Great effort by this producer.
September 12, 2019 - Beautiful notes of red fruit, fresh, mineral, lots of graphite, hints of tobacco. I love the flavor profile and acidity here. This is pretty light yet features pure, sweet fruit and a very classic profile. Absolutely pleasurable.
December 29, 2018 - Both bottles had a flat nose and though tasted ok, I’m pretty sure they were corked. Odd.
December 22, 2018 - Rich, ripe, cedary - not hugely complex or dramatic, but delicious.
October 5, 2018 - High-pitched, medium-full bodied, bright, crisp and pepper, with a strong, cedar and leaf notes on top to the sweet and tart, peppery cassis.
July 21, 2018 - Best bottle yet. 2 hours Double Decanted. Long, soft, very st Julien nose of crushed cranberries. Light to medium weight. Great with cheese. No “thickness” as is previously described. Perhaps the wine lacks a bit of character but lovely overall.
June 16, 2018 - Ripe, rich, cedar-y - lovely stuff
January 1, 2018 - Gorgeously correct aged claret, light, fragrant, savoury and full of mature cedar chest red fruit, this is drinking wonderfully. I'd guess this could potentially go on for a bit but is probably at its apex right now so will not shy away from enjoying these now. 93
October 25, 2017 - Just like the previous bottle, straightforward, ripe cedary claret.
October 13, 2017 - This wine may have been a bit corked. It still had life but not much complexity.
