June 18, 2023 - 12 years in the cellar, fathers day, prime ribeyes, let’s go! Impression only as a drank this a couple days ago. Really liked this, with a little quibble on the nose, not as expressive as could be. That said, the palate was excellent. Well smoothed out, but still juicy acidity, this was/is in a great spot for *my palate*. KL was a favorite and whenever I drink one, I wish they were still around

March 20, 2020 - In a really good place. Red and black fruits, cassis, a touch of herbal, some earthiness. Similar flavors. The tannins have softened nicely. Great balance and a smooth finish. Still showing nice acidity. Too bad its my last bottle, would like to see where this goes with a few more years. Not sure it will improve with more time., but would like to see.

January 19, 2020 - Appears to be at peak from 750
At 12 years this has softened quite demonstrably.
Plush and quite soft savory dark berry fruit with a hint of oak. Acidity is fading and this is lacking brightness, leaving a slightly bitter finish.
Absolutely lovely, but I worry this may be just starting to fade a bit. Definitely YFS.

December 18, 2019 - Coravined a single glass 1 hour prior. The nose sings out of the glass -- a floral though soft cassis balanced against a dense and lovely black cherry with a light inoffensive waft of acidity. On the palate you get the lush blackberry and traditional big Napa fruit finish. I saw below where this was said to be a food pairing wine rather than a stand alone and I heartily agree. While I found the wine exceedingly enjoyable, paired with my petite filet mignon the wine really expanded and the two brought out the best in each other. Lots of sediment so I will strain the remaining wine and serve with company at a later date. Bottom line: rich floral black cherry nose, lush dense blackberry on the palate with a long finish and a great meat pairing wine.

May 26, 2018 - Drank alongside the other 2007 Reserves (BTK, HL, Morisoli) across three days. This one eveloved the most - starting out somewhat tart, with bright red fruit. With some time, this turned darker, with a longer, fuller finish.

October 30, 2016 - Great drink, tannis soft and sweet, blue and black fruit was vibrant, with long finish. Drinking great now maybe near it's zenith.

    September 21, 2016 - Really quite lovely.
Still deep dark purple. Some light tobacco at first, but then everything quite integrated. Very tasty Napa fruit while avoiding any over the top fruit bombs of many '07s.

February 5, 2012 - This very youthful. I would suggest cellaring for a few years. I only have one other and it will sit for some time. I think the to-kalon is the better wine but this is a fine wine. Will merit a higher score in future I believe.
