May 21, 2016 - Robe grenat avec frange aqueuse tuilée, larmes lentes et colorées. Bouquet sur notes de fruits cuits, pruneaux, cassis, cuir, zan et toujours fraîcheur mentholée en seconde olfaction. Bouche savoureuse avec belle extraction mais sans excès, texture soyeuse, très digeste avec ces 13% ! Une légère verdeur en fin de bouche mais rien de grave. À boire, ne gagnera pas à rester en cave. 91/100
August 25, 2013 - Decanted twice before drinking. Leather and good earthy smell, good acidity.
May 18, 2011 - Vraiment très bon ce second d'un millésime pas favorable au Médoc. Superbe nez de poivron qui s'ouvre après 1 hre en carafe. En bouche c'est élégant, sur les fruits murs mais sans excès de concentration et long. Le genre de vin qui passe si bien qu'on liquide la bouteille en moins de deux.

February 9, 2008 - Deep ruby red, showing little evolution on the rim. Trademark Pauillac nose of blackcurrant, cedar, graphite and pencil lead. A little red fruit too. Good acidity and firm tannins, with warm fruit and a touch of mint / menthol on the finish. A little pepper on the nose after some time, and green pepper with the menthol on the finish. Savoury, angular and very good but lacking richness.
February 9, 2008 - Medium to deep ruby with a slight faded brick rim. Warm nose of cassis, red fruits, pencil lead and cedar. Good fruit on the palate, nice warming finish. Quite long. Second sniff - more herbaceous this time. On the palate much the same though I notice the back palate seems a little thinnner. Quite youthful really considering the age.
June 8, 2007 - Dark ruby to purple. Subdued, elegant nose of smoky cassis,dark berries, plum, tar, mocha, graphite, and tobacco. Out of the bottle, the palate is thin and hard. But with decanting, it got creamier and richer. Fair structure, good balance. Did not pair well with steak with pepper sauce--highlighted the salt too much.
