  March 7, 2016 - Vertical tasting of Kayra Vintage Öküzgözü from 2008, the second vintage released to 2013, the most recent one. The grapes are sourced from Şükrü Baran Vineyard in Aydıncık, near Elazığ. The vineyard lies by the giant Keban reservoir, that moderates the climatic conditions at the average altitude of 950 metres.
  A dusty kick before aromas of black cherry and damson feature on the bright nose. Charming scents of violet follow. Unlike the 2008 and the 2009 the tannins are firm and even on the drying side. Yet the intensity of fruit is there to balance.

İs,katran,vanilya gibi fıçıdan gelen baskın aromaların arasından algılanan olgun erik,vişne/kiraz notlarına arkada hafif animal,toprak ve volatile dokunuşları eklenerek kompleksite gösteriyor. Orta gövdeli, yumuşak dokuda, diri asitli. Yoğun fıçı etkisini kaldıracak kadar iyi bir meyve konsantrasyonu ve damakta tatlımsılığı var .Olgunluğu iyi yakalanan tanen yapısı belirgin ama entegre . Damakta meyvenin saflığını etkileyen fıçı notaları, finalde de bitimi orta düzeye çekiyor ve hissedilen hafif kuruluğa katkıda bulunarak keyif unsurunu etkiliyor.
