May 10, 2023 - Super pretty wine but showing more subtlety than fireworks, but it is a classic Chablis in its flinty tightness, compression and confident fruit. Very nice.

July 13, 2022 - "Nick says ditto" (Chicago, IL): For drinking right now, this was far more exciting than the 2004 Clos that we had a few nights ago. This doesn't have a very strong reductive signature, but there is just a slight hint of it on the nose. I had forgotten that I drank this out of magnum half a year ago, but revisiting my note from then, I would say my experiences tonight with this wine were substantially similar. Incredibly dense and concentrated, but with an openness thanks to the fruit here, that makes this really enjoyable to drink right now.

July 9, 2022 - Ethereally balanced and at first reticent Raveneau. Super light clear color, almost no signs of age there. Reticent nose at first opened up to stone fruit, crushed minerals, and a touch of coconut creme.. Silky palate with some honeyed (but dry) fruit and nut notes, and more minerality chiming in. A "contemplation wine"...

February 25, 2022 - Saline with tremendous density. Deep rich viscous mouthfeel. The density here is remarkable, and the wine greatly benefitted from time in the glass. A superb Raveneau.
