March 15, 2019 - Uncles Fine Wine Spring BYO (Home): Nose with gunpowder and toasted barrels. Dissipates and nice chard tones evolves. Gives an elegant impression. Opulent palate. High viscosity. Salty and minerals. Some bitter grapefruit.
January 30, 2019 - outstanding Chablis, not a surprise at all, great typicity, tense / mouthwatering / bright yet with a tiny bit of roundness to balance... delicious -- even for the Cali chard drinkers in the house (magnum format)
January 8, 2019 - NR cuz no notes, and was in Vegas... but this was very good, but not mind blowing (the H. Germain Meursault Charmes '15 won the white contest over this, '16 Pernot Pucelles and Fevre '13 Preuses)
November 24, 2018 - Je n'y ai pas donné trop d'attention mais il était très bon. Le 2014 aussi.
October 11, 2018 - During a tasting dinner. Boy this showed well. Often Chablis can be too acidic and lean for my taste, not this one. It combined the freshness and racy palate of Chablis with creaminess of a Chassagne, well balanced. Vanilla aromas, citrus, stone fruit. Very good quality and a top white Burg that does not break the bank.
September 15, 2018 - Superb and classy wine. Still very fresh with just a tinge of evolution in colour and flavour. Classic flavour blend of fruit, seasalt, dried herbs (sage?), oyster shell, minerality and good backbone of acid. Not quite as lifted, complex and X factor ethereal compared to truly exceptional Chablis though did have that “pull me back to the bottle for more” effect. Very good.
August 11, 2018 - Lovely Chablis, but still has room to improve. Fairly rich.
July 6, 2018 - folks loved this at the 4th of July dinner, I thought very nice but a little down the middle and in need of some year in bottle (in this format at least)
