May 20, 2021 - Still hitting all the marks!
March 19, 2018 - This is based on my wife, as I was unable to drink. Was great PnP. Dried cherries, fruit forward, full body, nice finish. This wine drank well and likely has a couple of years left before declining.
October 31, 2016 - Opened up nicely over three hours. Very floral with appealing strawberry notes. A delightful Pinot experience.
June 5, 2015 - The nose is like smelling a rose and finishes well. Goes well with spicey shrimp and pork.
May 18, 2015 - I thought this wine was a complete bust when I opened my first bottle several months back. It must have just been that bottle. Turns out, this is an excellent reasonably priced new world pinot. Just as fine on the second day as the first.
November 14, 2014 - First bottle several months ago was not good. Overly perfumed, thin bodied,nwith a metallic aftertaste. This one surprised: hints of berry, round in the mouth, elegant finish.
July 4, 2014 - Good news: Lost its effervescence noted in an earlier bottle.. Now a good simulation of cherry kool aid, flavored with saccharine. Ironically as it sits in the glass, the finish gets shorter. What's odd about this bottle is it is not flawed in terms of spoilage, etc. it was made this way. Poured the bottle out.
April 14, 2014 - Dark in the glass. Very tight at pop, gasoline + barnyard funk on the nose. After 10 mins: Red fruit nose. Red fruit in the mouth, lingering before moving towards minerality and graham cracker. Decent tannin. This is a nice OP from one of my fav vintages.
April 9, 2014 - Very new world with some nice character. Is it me, or I do detect a bit of yam?
September 29, 2013 - Clio's 7th Birthday (Todd's House): A bit of blackberry Popsicle on the nose. POM (Pomegranate) Juice on the palate. Some alcohol on the finish.
This was truly horrid. I threw it out immediately and tried to forget how bad it was.
