July 10, 2023 - Fant ekstra flaske i kjelleren.

April 18, 2020 - Wow, this is in a nice place now. Mature and complex, but still very fresh acidity. Long.

October 22, 2019 - (mostly) 2001 Produttori Riserva Horizontal (Osteria Langhe, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose is well balanced and aromatic with pears, red apples, quince, peaches, yellow flowers, nutty tones, toast, warm dough, and biscuit notes. There is good depth with a way about it that only comes from aging.

Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with crisp, high acidity. There is a mouthwatering quality to the acidity while the feel is balanced with tones of pears, red apples, peaches, yellow flowers, nutty tones, toast, warm dough, and biscuits.

Overall: This is right in its zone. The fruit and autolytics are perfectly in balance while still having freshness. It will certainly last another 5+ years, but this is just beautiful right now.

August 10, 2019 - Very attractive golden color. Beautifully sumptuous on the nose with ripe apple, some honey, a superb combination of butter, bread dough and roasted almonds and a saline edge. The mousse is of the very lively and dense kind, revealing a full-bodied and palate-coating yet simultaneously delineated and firm wine underneath. Markedly tangy with a bright mix of apple and blood orange. There is some toastiness but overall this is very fruit forward with the high quality Pinot Noir clearly shining through. Finishes dry, clean and a bit tart. By all mean this still feels young at age 15. Given that I paid peanuts for this some years ago I have to say it is a rather surprisingly serious wine if not immensely complex on the palate at this moment. Give it another 10 years and I think it is going to become a real beauty.

April 27, 2019 - Opened by Bill. 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. Medium yellow color. This had a smoky character and showing some age. Notes of poached pears, stone fruit and peanuts. 90-91 points.

April 26, 2019 - Courtesy of billhike. Deep color with a medium mousse. Notes of apple, honey wafer and dried fruit. Rich. Fine bead with flavors of apple, butter cookie and roasted nuts. Finishes with good length. Shows more richness as the evening progresses, adding marshmallow and cashew notes.
