February 16, 2024 - Deep golden colour. White fruits, white flowers, a little exotic fruit, slight vanilla, minerals. Evolved but still fresh, in very good condition. Probably time to drink up.
August 10, 2016 - Lovely, archetypical Riesling. Juicy, sweetish green/yellow fruit with a dry, crisp structure. Grapefruit bitterness on the finish.
June 5, 2016 - Very decent Riesling. Clearly distinguable fruit (pear, apple) embedded in balanced acidity.
October 8, 2015 - From double-magnum. Light and bright, supple and rounded, hint of sealing wax, dry but juicy, light flavours of fruit, spices and white flowers, not as precise as the 2014 but well-balanced and attractive.
February 14, 2015 - Excelente, nao tao mineral
October 11, 2014 - Habil Riesling. Mycket mineral, typ våt betong, lite persika och småcitrus i doften. I munnen snarare grape, alltså lite beska syror, men friskt och gott. Bra längd med ett lite torrt slut.
May 5, 2014 - Every year, this Gelblack Trocken is the reliable, basic Riesling from this great estate. Purists might consider this a bit too easy and there is a hint of residual sugar, but it rounds the wine off very nicely. There is lovely Rheingau Riesling typicity, the wine is clean, fresh and well-made, the flavours are light (and so is the weight) but the hints of fruit, flowers and minerals are attractive; decent length. It is expensive though.
April 13, 2014 - Halmgul i färgen. Nyansrik, eterisk doft med äpplen, citrus, persika och lite vita blommor. I munnen är vinet knappt medelfylligt, med toner av äpple, citron och lite exotisk frukt. Bra finish med mineraler och med en liten, men tydlig restsötma. Vi drack det till ugnsbakad lax med kokt mandelpotatis, sparris och en sås på crême fraiche, vitt vin, fiskbuljong och forellrom. En lyckad kombo!
November 17, 2013 - Clear light straw yellow in color. Clean nose of apple. Dry, med acidity, med body, apple and white peach on palate. Med finish. Very crisp and clean wine. Interesting but did not blow me away.
