Community Tasting Notes 2

January 5, 2014 - Good color and a bouquet with some promise leads to a body taste with balanced acidity and moderately interesting body, though fairly simple. The finish is pleasant, but one dimensional.

I'm not sure it has any years left in the cellar, and I'll drink the rest now.

    Color: 2/2
    Bouquet: 3/4
    Taste: 6/10
    Overall: 3/4
Total: 14/15 (which translates to 85 on the WS scale)

December 23, 2013 - According to Wine-Searcher, this wine is available at the Utah Dept of Alcoholic Beverage Control, which sounds more like a treatment center than a wine shop. For some, the demise of the Dominick's supermarkets is a sad occasion, for others, it represents opportunity to buy wine at 30 % off. This is not half bad at all: a nice oaky aroma and lots of tart berry fruit with not a little grip.
