October 23, 2013 - Spicy, red berry fruit from Corvina and Rondinella grapes. This particular offering was not to my liking as it appeared to lack the structure I prefer. I believe it was made without the use of oak. It did become a little more interesting when I added some cheese and charcuterie with it.

October 5, 2013 - Pricey for style, but tasty and easy drinking none the less...Young still and drinks fine now and at 12.5% ETOH - kind of as expected. Nose has lighter bright choke cherry. Palate is rich with slightly tart, unripe cherry/cassis/blackcherry and a little cough syrup on the finish. Light tannins that a slightly drying. Food match would be more of lighter fare, perhaps pizza night watching Top Chef? I think you could find similar style in MB for 15-20 $.
