October 11, 2023 - An excellent expression of Bertani Amarone. Aired for about two hours with no sediment to decant. Deep purple colour with beguiling nose of red fruits, warm spices and hints of rose. Good medium-heavy weight in the mouth with the right touch of acidity and melted tannins with notes of dried cherries, plums, and underbrush. Finish was long and smooth that ends in a wonderful spiciness.
It's in a beautiful stage right now but is still youthful and will hold another decade plus easily with proper storage. However, no regrets whatsoever opening this now.1 person found this helpful Comment -

September 26, 2023 - Really began to shine after a two hour + decant. Still coming together, though, and this will be even better in 2+ years. Wonderful wine showing off a more reserved Amarone style, which Bertani is known for.

June 18, 2023 - Very cherry dominant both on the nose and in mouth. Just can't get past the acidic response initially. To top it off it has overlydrying notes into the finish. Right now it is unresolved wine at 14 years. Not getting it !

December 1, 2022 - Medium ruby red with garnet edges. Candied berries on the nose with rose petals and tar. Medium and sweet tannins (6/10) with a medium plus body. Lingers on the palate and caresses your mouth. Dark cherries, bitter chocolate and leather. Long finish. Drink till 2038.
