January 22, 2021 - Brickish in color initially, turning a darker ruby as it aired. Gave it a good 45 minutes to open up and the fruit really showed up. Balanced with soft tannins , paired perfectly with achiote marinated Akaushi teres major and grilled broccolini. Worth the wait, and it’s ready!

April 12, 2020 - Dark ruby with extensive garnet and lots of separation at the rim. Strawberries, cherries and baking spices on the nose. Round, silky mouthfeel and less acidity than an Italian Sangiovese like a Chianti. Tastes of cherry pie and almonds. Drinking nicely but should be consumed soon.

August 18, 2019 - Lighter than one would expect. Very elegant. Soft tannins with sweet fruit and earth. Got the varietal characteristics of Sangiovese. Would not hold much longer but certainly not faded.
