February 14, 2024 - Light golden color confirm’s this 17 year old champagne’s age. Upon opening, the nose is full of citrus and mineral notes. The flavor profile is unique as apple and lemon start with a stark transition to quinine and acid before finishing with caramel apple notes. It was neither bready or yeasty, but it has ample acidity with some mineral harshness offset by caramel richness. This was an intriguing champagne and my first foray into vintage Perrier-Jouet’s Belle Epoque.

October 27, 2023 - Decanted 45 min in a narrow decanter. Vanilla, brioche, lemon verbena, delicious. A tad low on acid, but overall a good champagne at a good drinking age.

March 26, 2023 - As others have said here, the nose is absolutely intoxicating. White and yellow flowers abound with complexity and focus. The palate is likewise excellent with less yeasty and more floral notes, but this lacks the body and spine to be 95+ points. Unclear if it will improve with more time but I would say it is absolutely smoking right now and if you have a bottle you should drink it.
