February 19, 2022 - H50 (@Home): (Disgorged in 2020, 64% Pinot Noir and 36% Chardonnay, dosage 6 gr/L) (From magnum bottle)
Light yellow colour with a mature nose showing red apples, minerals and a touch of butterscotch on the pleasant nose. Fruitful palate showing red apples and with a pleasant lime zest bitterness on the finish.
(Best 2021-2031)
February 10, 2022 - Tasted blind. Aromas of red apples, bakery, clearly Pinot scents in the forefront. Rich style, I was guessing Pol Roger. Surprise to everybody, it was a Mumm. A really good showing. 93+
November 16, 2021 - Confirmed, no pop! Only very gentle bubbles left in it. The wine is interesting though, a lot of earthy and yeasty hits. Straw colour. I can only imagine that this bottle was at its peak probably 5 -7 years ago. Was still very pleasant to drink.
April 7, 2021 - No pop! Clearly past it’s peak now and lacking freshness but strong fruit/yeast on the nose and palate. Improved with some breathing but lacking the sparkle of perfect champagne.
May 18, 2019 - Some toastiness and slight honeyed notes, but otherwise lacking in complexity for a vintage wine. Enjoyable for a social occasion with people who enjoy champagne, but I would not hold out for a special event. Drink now, I don't think it's going to develop any more and you risk it going downhill if you hold on.
December 21, 2018 - Reifes tiefgoldenes gelb, reif in der Nase, sicher an der Zeit ausgetrunken zu werden, ein guter Drink, nicht mehr.
June 24, 2017 - A very nica middle range champange. No mature notes yet.
December 27, 2016 - The wine finishes short.
November 21, 2016 - Seamless, very fine bubbles, I was thinking: that's what gold should taste like. Don't drink it too cold. I will buy more. Many, many more years to go.
September 16, 2016 - Hmmm.
