November 13, 2014 - Translucent crimson in color with hints of bricking at the edges, this wine showed spiced cherry, black tea and licorice on the nose. The mouth feel was surprisingly dense with added elements of earth, firm acidity, coffee bean and black raspberry. The finish had length and complexity with the earthy, moderate acidity bringing out both mocha and violets.

Drinking very well now, this wine easily has 2-4 more years of solid life left. Drink now - 2018. Purchased for $57US in 2014.

Imported by Petit Pois Corp. T/A Susses Wine Merchants, Moorestown, NJ.

December 12, 2010 - Still a bit closed (even on the second day) but allows a glimpse of what is ahead (perfume, spices, red earth, sweet fruit, freshness); good stuffing and weight, refined tannins, crisp acdity balanced by a creamy roundness, good length. Drinking well already, expected peak 2012 - 2016. Bargain at € 23.95.

July 23, 2009 - 90-91+ pts. This is a very good wine, for a decent price. Drank over 2 hours and it evolved very nicely. Was a red fruit forward to start, then became more complex with time. Became very plum and fig focused and added some spicy notes, green pepper specifically. Black raspberry's and dark cherrys. Decent value in Burg...AMM

March 5, 2008 - Subtle red berry fruit on the nose with earthy, dusty berries on the palate. Good but a bit overpriced.
