July 7, 2021 - Drinking perfectly right now. Great dark fruit nose with tremendous mouth feel and long, silky finish. An exceptional wine. beautifully integrated.

June 28, 2021 - Decanted for 90 minutes and served at cellar temperature. My first Bedrock Bedrock and I’m instantly struck by how not full-bodied the nose is. Very subtle but great depth and complexity of blueberry, pepper, cinnamon, crushed rocks and liquorice. Super lithe and accessible mouthfeel with even more depth and layering on the palate. Totally out of my league on this but I quickly realised this was not a perfect food match and was just spectacular by itself. An intensely contemplative wine. Drinking amazingly now and will live forever.

February 15, 2021 - Liquid blackberry jumps right out of the glass. A delicious, full bodied wine that doesn’t disappoint. The Big Fruit is here, and yes, it’s a bit jammy and lip smacking but it’s balanced with some nice, crisp acid and the tannic structure is rounded but present. No, this is juicy but it’s Bedrock and the juice doesn’t ever cross the PBJ threshold into the land of Sonoma Sour Patch Kids. With the blackberry there are notions of licorice ans some tertiary development but I’m at a curious quandary here because I detect some stewed fruit on the finish that I didn’t expect in a top notch blend, hence my conservative rating. Maybe an imperfect bottle so I’ll post when I open the next one.

January 31, 2021 - This was an amazing bottle, from first sip to last, consumed over three nights. Strong aroma of plums and old smoked wood. Incredible body/mouthfeel, rich, luscious, full, but not too heavy. Blackberries and unsweetened dark chocolate flavors with smooth, rounded tannins. Seemingly has many years of life, even if this is peak drinking.
