October 21, 2021 - At a great place right now, but left me wishing I had one or two more, because I think this will last another decade, and get more and more interesting. The tannic support, the complexity and finish of this somewhat unique offering often brought conversation to a stop as we sipped during an outstanding dinner at Port Washington’s Picola Liguria.

September 6, 2021 - Plum and pen ink on the nose. On the palate, black cherry, currant, and notes of earthy spice and cocoa on the medium to long finish, with moderate tannins and good acidity. This is excellent, and it was a good value at about $90. At the $170+ it is going for now it would be a below average value. Tuscan Merlot seems to have jumped dramatically in price; too bad.

I said Italy, but that was that. No hint further.

Nose has rabid VA, acetone attack almost, all other flavors had to hack through this thick wood of polish.

Deep and structured, but it needs a decade to come into balance and to offer its rich and colorful side. I’ve no idea how to rate its potential.

    Don’t rush.

February 25, 2018 - 100% Merlot wine that is in a really good place. Soft tannins, long finish, and really outstanding.

January 30, 2018 - Fresh, vibrant and pure, with a floral aspect complementing the bright red fruit. Benefited from air.
