August 19, 2023 - This is in a very good, mature place now……but I wouldn’t wait too much longer to open it.

January 8, 2011 - enjoyed bottle on 12/31,10 with veal. Floral bouquet, depth. to taste, fruit still vibrant, well balanced with some residual tannin. wonderful

January 24, 2008 - Out of a half bottle. Medium light ruby, transparent. Blackberry and what I think people describe as "iron" give way to earth, incense, and clove. Medium weight with tart acidity at first and quite a bit of tannin, but the acid calms down, and the palate finishes lean but supported by enough fruit to support the underlying structure. A terroir-oriented wine that may not achieve Grand Cru quality, but stylish, very Gevrey, and it avoids the burliness of many '95s.

January 5, 2008 - Pretty fair on initial palate, but searingly acidic and thin fruit on finish. No nose to speak of, but 24 hrs. later the nose was more evolved, but the fruit had oxidized and the acidity was so predominant that I dumped the bottle. Ugh.
