September 4, 2013 - Tasted at winery. Massive, full-bodied nose of honey. Beautiful balance, mouth-filling flavor and finish. Best New World Viognier I've had.

August 28, 2013 - Imagine, if you will, that you buried your face into loads of honeysuckle, peaches, nectarines, jasmine, and other sweet-white flowers and succulent stone fruits at the peak of their ripeness... that's the bouquet coming off this viognier, and leaves you thinking that it will be sweet. But when I tasted it, the finish was bone dry. Absolutely the best viognier I've ever had - and I'm always searching and tasting. This reinvigorated my passion for the varietal.

High acid for a cripsness, great body/mouthfeel - light, but not watery. Stone fruit, floral. Hint of mineral, not off-putting at all. Cool(er) climate, extreme north end of Napa valley. No heat, and I forgot the abv%, but this white would be fine at room temp.

I now have my go-to for viognier. When asked who I liked, prior to this tasting, my answer was always qualified and uncertain. Now, it's going to be answered with "Storybook makes the best viognier, hands down."
