April 8, 2019 - Buttery, but lemon and a mineral cut gives some definition.
December 25, 2018 - Delicious lemon curd. Very nice.
November 27, 2018 - Lemon curd, just ripe pineapple, nice acidic streak and some minerality. Balanced Old World style. Still drinking well. 13.8% abv.
June 10, 2018 - Chardonnay - White Burgundy vs the Rest of the World (Mike's House): I had this wine 3 years ago, and this bottle was 3 points better. Correlation? There is a fair amount of matchstick and sulfur on the nose, and even a bit on the palate. But the palate is dominated by golden fruit with some minerality. There is good balance here. This was the most interesting wine at the tasting.
June 9, 2018 - Brought to a tasting.
This wine stood out from the others in the lineup as just more interesting and complex. Ripe yet with mineral, unusual for a Cali chardonnay. Definitely one of the group's favorites.
July 29, 2017 - Very nice 5 years in. Popped and poured and enjoyed with a 2015 Domaine Tempier Bandol Rose. It was a nice pairing; the Liquid Farm has gotten better with age and has a lot of structure and background. The smokiness it sometimes has is dissipated. Only fruit is present with only a hint of oak and butter.
June 15, 2017 - not as great as the last bottle. more sweetness came thru and not as balanced. better as it warmed up
April 7, 2017 - I am not a connoisseur of Chardonnay or whites, but this was not "rich" like others note here. More bright fruity springy, or cat-pissy", one might say... not buttery. Good luck.
February 20, 2017 - First experience with LF and it was awesome. Now I know what all the Berserkers are taking about. Delicious. Just that simple.
January 29, 2017 - Creamy and delicious. Lemon curd and a richness that is right on to balance the acidity. This is in a great place.
With air, notes of butterscotch and vanilla emerge. Beautifully balanced, even with the oak influence being less subtle after it got the air.
