January 3, 2015 - Holiday Dinner at Nathan's (Nathan's House - Chicago, IL): Sage advice from Dr. C suggested I give this a bit of air and try serving it around cellar temp. I was able to give it enough air, but I actually perferred it a bit more at room temp! Pfiffering really hit a home run with this wine...creating a Tavel that has intense strawberry and cranberry tones with soft floral notes. It sounds simple, and maybe it would come across as such to other people, but I found its airy palate had incredible beautiful and balance. Like drinking a glass of silk.

December 25, 2014 - Crunchy red fruit, primarily strawberry. Tastes like "leroy does tavel". Very natural. Smooth. Better than the straight version.
