May 8, 2023 - Drank over 2 nights (still nice on night 2). Notes from night 1 after 3 hours slow ox. Light red color, nearly brown. On nose, tree bark, prunes, black cherry and tobacco. On palate, ripping tannins, medium+ acidity, medium body and long finish. Palate consistent with nose. Paired very well with a grilled NY Strip. On it's own, tannins were overpowering. Should have read all the tasting notes and waited! With that said, I worry the fruit would be gone when the tannins have calmed down. Still enjoyed this. 91+/-

May 4, 2023 - Decanted for a couple hours and found that it was overly oxidized, so re-corked and put into the frig for drinking another day. Didn't want to serve to guests, but certainly drinkable.

March 19, 2023 - Very balanced presentation at this point, deep flavor nuanced by receding astringency of the tannins. Agree with those who note need for time to open up, find it still revealing fruit after three hours. A great accompaniment to grilled hangar steak, everything I could ask for this level of Barolo after 12+ years of controlled storage. Glad I have another two bottles, will need to consume this year.

December 20, 2022 - Lovely, better with an hour of air. Restrained at first but more expressive with air, elegant, balanced, long, good acidity, and glad I have 3 more.
