October 11, 2015 - Drank this over three nights, and again it's a showstopper. Incredible complexity of fruit, herbs, flowers, and vivid stony and saline mineral notes, all coming together very seamlessly on a frame that conveys both power and lightness at the same time. Powerful acidity keeps it very focused and precise, and the length is remarkable. Very glad I have several more.

February 22, 2015 - Pale straw colored. Lovely peach with light petrolly flavors. I really liked this.
But to my taste, it does finish just a bit heavy at 13.5% and just a hint more acidity would have sent this soaring.

October 31, 2014 - A beautifully subtle nose of stone fruit and yellow flowers, this is so refined, flavorful, nothing out of place, with slightly reserved fruit intensity, excellent acidity, hints of minerality, a more high-toned Riesling than the Steinertal or Loibenberg, with notes of pineapple and lime, but equally enjoyable. Drinks wonderfully now, but will be even better in a decade.

July 9, 2014 - Another fantastic bottle of this, though not quite as open and giving as the last one. It's closed down somewhat since release, but still opens up nicely with some time in the decanter to show a really lovely scent of bright peach and orchard fruits, saline and stony mineral notes, and more exotic, high toned florality. The palate has that classic Alzinger lightness of touch and elegance, with powerful acids keeping it very focused and precise, and finishing long. Outstanding wine, though I'll leave my other bottles alone for some time.

June 11, 2014 - All floral on the nose, super sweet tropical flowers. Passionfruit. A bit fat, acid:body inadequate. Drink up, this is not going for the long haul.

April 24, 2014 - Aroma: lime, grapefruit and wet stone with a touch of flowers.
Palate: youthful and somewhat closed. Suggestions of citrus with some toasty richness. Also notes of minerals and earth. Not fully dry. Needs time to develop and open up.

November 9, 2013 - An amazing array of aromas. This has such an incredible scent; fresh, juicy pear and stone fruits, higher toned herbal and leafy notes, and sweeter floral, almost tropical elements also emerging with time - just an amazing wine to sit and smell, getting more fragrant and complex with air. There's that typical Alzinger lightness of touch and sense of purity on the palate, a crystalline mouthfeel with bright acids keeping it vibrant and focused, and fantastic length. A thrilling wine, and I can't wait to see what this turns into with some time in the bottle, even though it's pretty spectacular right now.
