  September 23, 2011 - I have been disappointed with previous bottles of this vintage - they would commonly have a sharp or bitter taste and frankly were more palatable on day 2 than day 1. I therefore ignored my remaining bottles for over 2 years and was pleasantly surprised that the wine is now moving into a much more enjoyable phase. The wine was smooth on the palate almost right out of the bottle, pleasant light fruity flavors and nose with a nice finish with none of the sharp or bitter flavors I previously noted. I look forward to consuming the remaining few bottles in the coming months.

  January 30, 2008 - Cellared from purchase, this was my last bottle. Either it is not aging as well as hoped or this bottle did not show as well as previous. Bouquet of black fruits plus the tar and creosote noted earlier. The deep rich fruit was less than previous, with a couple handfuls of earth verging on dirt thrown in and more prominent. More minerals in the finish, with more bitter tannins noticeable. Still enjoy this wine a lot; a great QPR year after year.

  December 20, 2007 - Had our last bottle of this tonight. Such a great wine. Deep dark fruit, with mouth coating tannins. Wish I could find more.
