October 10, 2016 - Pale greenish yellow in color. On the nose, you can smell that it's going to be sweet---it has a sort of candied apple aroma, with also pear and peach notes and a whiff of fresh white flowers. On the palate, all of those flavors come through, but they've done an impressive job balancing the sweetness with acid so that it's actually quite crisp and refreshing and doesn't leave the mouth sticky or sugary. Nothing complex but very tasty. This is a guzzler.

July 29, 2014 - A strong value, showing balance and edge. Mineral core, subtle fruit, moderate residual sugar, acidity and pungent nose. More: http://pavineco.com/red-newt-dr-l-riesling/

July 5, 2014 - Bright and minerally with a nice crisp bite.
Kept it in a ice bucket on this hot day. I enjoy this type of wine slightly chilled.

Very good with grilled chicken and vegetables.

January 18, 2014 - Solidly nice wine. Light apricot, white flowers, and a touch of rubber on the nose. Medium bodied, taste was apricot, light brown sugar, not particular complex. Nice long finish.

Not quite able to hold up to really spicy food. 2.6%RS, pH3.2, 11% alcohol
