October 16, 2017 - High acidity, smokey, earthy and bloody. Quite nice. Not quite as fresh and balanced as other bottles on table.

June 13, 2017 - Vietti Dinner with Luca Currado (Ai Fiori Restaurant in the Langham Place Hotel, NYC): [Double decanted around 2pm.] Muted smoky red fruit nose. Juicy, youthful, and complex. Explodes on the palate. Just a great bottle of this wine. Glad I have 2 more from the same source. Went back to it later. Continues to open and expand. A great bottle!

June 13, 2017 - The bouquet was reluctant at first, taking time in the glass to come around, but once it did the ‘67 was a force to be reckoned with. Here I found dark, earth-infused crushed red fruits, dried strawberry, spiced orange and undergrowth. On the palate, it was lifted and full of life as dark fruits and savory minerals washed across the senses. The finish was long on dried berries, minerals and an animal muskiness.

February 5, 2017 - Proof positive that the producer is more important than the vintage. Minerals up front with dusty dried florals, burnt orange and exotic spice. On the palate, it's remarkably soft with an enveloping thrust of dried red fruits, minerals and balanced acidity. It's slightly short on the palate but that's totally forgivable. What a beautifully matured Barolo.

November 11, 2016 - This felt a little past peak, but still a very interesting wine to taste. Brownish in color, it has slightly oxidized aromatics of loveage, some red fruit, spices, fading flowers and some dried fruits. It's medium in body with medium-low acidity and pretty low tannin. Medium length. It felt a little simpler than some of the other old Nebbiolos but maybe it was also just because the bottle was past peak.
