September 29, 2020 - Still a wonderful bottle of wine, but it clearly is time to drink up.
May 2, 2020 - Amazingly good 15 years later!
March 26, 2017 - Clean cork, deep color with mildly bricked rim.
Nose of kalamata olive, raspberry and bruised apple. Actually smells pretty attractive, despite the odd sounding mix of descriptors.
Palate is full of velvety raspberry and bruised apple, with some flavor of cinnamon and clove at close. Medium body with a bit of grainy tannin left. Drink up!
April 19, 2015 - Ruby red in color. 14.9% ABV. Red and blue fruits, kirsch and pepper on the nose. Medium body with adequate acidity. Rich, fresh and elegant. Raspberry, blueberry, white pepper and cocoa on the palate. Delicious Zinfandel that is ready to drink. Less jammy and port like than many of the highly rated Zins from this era.
August 3, 2014 - Plenty of fruit. Drinking beautifully
August 24, 2012 - Wow. What a bottle. Still tons of fruit and great structure, but in a smoother way than a Napa cab. Great demonstration of how zin can be ageworthy.
June 6, 2012 - Still fresh fruit and lots of intensity. A lovely Zin.
January 13, 2012 - Good, should have drunk this earlier. Not as full-bodied as I had anticipated.
August 5, 2010 - Incredible amount of red fruit; cherry, raspberry, cranberry. Not the least bit jammy. Deep purple color. A bit too tart for me to rate it really high, and a touch of vegetation on the finish. Good, solid wine, though.
July 28, 2010 - Deep purple. Very rich nose of red berries, some spice. Luscious, spicy fruit compote, no elbows, but some alcohol. Slightly overdone and big; not jammy, but not elegant, either.
