December 15, 2013 - Very nicely structured wine that deviates slightly from the typical California oak cabs that dominate at this price point. Still has a very nice colour with small brickish red starting to show. Deep flavours highlighted by cherry notes, however, the nose had a raisiny/prune-like tendency to it suggesting that the fruit is starting to dominate the tannins as the wine ages. I'd say this is a wine to drink now. I'd definitely feel confident ordering this in a restaurant, though.

February 24, 2013 - Very sexy nose of candied black cherries and blackberries. Quite tannic at first, which integrated with air and time in the glass. Delicious New World Cab with plenty of life left.

    August 8, 2012 - No notes taken.

    Decanted 1 hr.

Perfect clean cork with only top 1/4" of color.

    Look: Bright red '04.

    Nose: Blackberries, vanilla, butterscotch, cedar.

    Body: 2.5% milk.

Taste: Wow!! Silky black and blue and some red fruits. Excellent!!!

A majestic memory in a bottle.

    Finish: About 60 seconds.

Totally impressive. Worth every penny. I'll keep eyes open for any other large '99s of this.

    93 pts.

Drink now or revisit in 4 yrs.
