March 29, 2021 - Lost bottle found. Still drinking really well - nice bright red fruit, a touch of cola, and a little earthiness that doesn’t get in the way of the fruit. Pleasant surprise.

June 6, 2015 - Deep nose of sous bois and dark cherry and spice that is so inviting. This covers the palate with shades of red and dark fruit followed by spice and sous bois. It's got perfect acidity and with some air the wine picks up weight and punch and has a deep long finish. We followed this over 2 hours or so from pnp and it really opened up with time. I'll decant next time. This is just starting to enter it's drinking window. Outstanding RRV appellation wine that punchs well above it's price.

February 24, 2015 - Still very tight, but this is really pretty stuff. Give it at least a 45-60 min decant. This has a very nice future ahead of it.

September 11, 2014 - Not your typical cola based RRV but more of a strawberry earthy chalk with a hint of cola and a nice medium+ finish. Very interesting wine.

March 24, 2014 - High-quality -- balanced, nice restrained cherries, good depth, spice, acidity. Perhaps not yet ready to pop open, though. Really tight at the beginning. Improved with a few hours of air, but still tight at the finish. I'd recommend waiting on this one; it'll be great when it's ready.

January 2, 2014 - Mostly translucent ruby in color with hints of purple. Light in color yet full of satisfying flavor. Strawberries, subtle orange oil, briar patch, and a touch of tobacco leaf/leather in the background. Really nicely balanced on the palate. It's not rich or extracted but it is powerful. Long finish. 13.7% alcohol. Recommended.
