Community Tasting Notes 2

July 27, 2016 - I have to say a bit of a disappointment given the quality of this producer. This wine doesn't even come across as a riesling (as other reviewers have noted) and has a sharpness that doesn't suggest the elements are in harmony. There was little telltale sign of petrol, flint, stone fruit that one typically finds with riesling. It had some nice citrus elements and racy acidity and exhibited a surprisingly dark yellow color for such a relatively young wine. Finish was medium. I am not big into pairing but a wine with this concentration of citrusy notes is likely a decent match for spicy food. I don't think this wine has much aging potential.

March 4, 2015 - Very nice. Not at all like what I expected from a Riesling - not even what I expected from a northwest Riesling. Dry, but not like a Sauvignon Blanc is dry, muted acid and minerality, and subtle fruit. Very easy drinking.
