June 30, 2023 - Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank a glass plus over 2 hours. Drank this with family at Wildview on the eve of my Dad's birthday. This was in fine form, not fading in my opinion. Ripe dark fruits, cassis, black raspberry liqueur, boysenberry, leather, menthol, dark chocolate, damp earth, licorice spice, full bodied, dusty, long and satiny on the finish. 93+ to 94pts.

April 1, 2023 - Black fruit, cassis, black licorce, chocolate, tobacco, leather, earthy notes, big tannis, slightly unbalanced. Big old wine. It’s good, but not as good as the last decade of Rubicon’s.

February 15, 2023 - Opened and decanted for 3 hours.
Opulent wine, mature and ready, fruit is starting to fade on the front, still delicious thou.
Past optimum drinking window by 2-3yrs.
Drink now thru 2026, IMO no need to wait.

August 21, 2021 - Dope! This vinyard produces fantastic wine for a fraction of the big boys. Id buy all of this I can find.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry, red currant, blackberry, blueberry, lemon, cherry, coffee, oak, black pepper and tobacco. The body is light/medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

July 17, 2021 - Well balanced based on the alcohol level but outside of the opulent fruit and firm tannin, limited secondary flavors. I would drink this wine within the next year, I don't see it improving much further.

September 26, 2020 - This wine is huge, verging on clumsy. It’s high alcohol, heavily extracted, heavily oaked. Fruit is intense, tannins rustic, finish supremely long. There’s enough acidity to keep it together, barely. Day two showed some plum / raisin, telling me we drank this at the right time.

September 13, 2020 - Super fresh and alive. Opulent style, big and wide red. Would drink with red meat.

March 31, 2020 - We enjoyed this wine with some slow cooked sirloin and potatoes and it outshined the food. Deep berries at first, transitions to notes of dark chocolate and plum, then finishes with sweet cranberry. Light pepper at all stages.
