November 5, 2022 - Pale. Hint of green.

Classic dry riesling nose. Touch of ginger, no kerosene. Attractive.

Softer than expected on the palate. Quite fresh and youthful. Charming but I’d prefer more riesling flavour and no hint of hard green.

August 16, 2021 - {screwcap, 11.5%} Pale yellow still; doesn’t look eight years. Nose of sand, minerals, gentle lime; a bit of a new world version of Rheingau. Barely past primary. The palate has a bit of spritz initially, a nicely acidic line down the tongue, a mixture of apples, limes, and quartz in medium weight format. A real sandy soill quality too. Dry palate, but ripe enough, despite the lowish alcohol. Feels that it can continue to age gracefully for many years to come. Impressive stuff.

May 3, 2020 - {screwcap, 11.5%} Still a very pale straw yellow. Lightly developed nose of steel, faint lime, austere, minerally. Palate is an odd mix of potentially interesting flavours with an odd structure; it seems initially steely in acid but then turns all fluffy and soft; the steely citrus just fades softly instead of powering through. It’s medium bodied, but with no great drive somehow. Could be something to blossom, I’m not certain. Feeling like it’s missed its mark somehow. Perhaps keep it to see. Not bad to drink now, to be fair, just not hte transcendent experience I was expecting.

April 26, 2019 - First bottle since purchased on release. Showing just as lovely and elegant as when first tasted. This wine really surprises me because of it's balance and restraint. Discreet nose, complex...long finish yet still light on it's feet. I think this wine will peak in 3 - 4 yrs time and then honey up from there. I'm glad to have 5 more

March 3, 2019 - Pale green/gold. Very pretty slatey lemon citrus, attractive white floral aromas, very subtle honey component but looking very youthful. Slightly sweeter version of drumborg rizza. Med weight, clean and very easy drinking, maybe lacking the usual fine, steely acid line. Drinking beautifully now. Cellar 5 years at most
