November 11, 2017 - This is an all day wine. It's made from locally grown VA Asian pears. It is lightly sweet, crisp and fruitful. It's a good wine for sitting on the porch with good friends or with a book.

August 31, 2013 - Introduction to Virginia wines w/DC Friends (Loudain County): As I've mentioned before, I enjoy the wineries that understand when they're not in Bordeaux and try something unique. This fits that approach. Asian pears grown down the street from the winery are converted into the first pear wine that I've had. Not surprisingly it's reminiscent of a high-end cider. There's some cinnamon with the fruit and there seems to be a depth of character here that I find appealing. About half the price of our favorite pear cider from Normandy so a good deal as well.
