April 2, 2024 - Black fruit, raspberry syrup, powerful smell. Allspice., cinnamon. Lively in the mouth, round polished, plenty of tannin. Acetone. Excellent length, floral finish.

December 27, 2019 - I’ve been patiently waiting to drink this wine and I’m glad I waited. Wine was incredibly smooth and still maintained its fruit.

December 5, 2019 - nose - balsamic, olive, flowers, truffle
mouth - delicious & complex, a touch of bitterness n the cornucopia of fruit with a deep dark prominence that sings barolo. pretty much unanimous WOTN

December 14, 2017 - Piemonte wines tasting (at my home): dark translucent red-brown
elegant excellent tertiary cherry-leather nose with acetone-earthy notes and truffles hints
grip tannins, full bodied, well structured & complexed, warm & alcoholic, wonderful rustic finish & warm alcoholic aftertaste.
ready to drink now, though can age further 5-15 years.

April 26, 2017 - Compared to the La Serra of the same vintage this is more fruity, spice, floral, lifted, less tertiary dried fruit. Bright cherry, more primary, more life.
    Massive tannins.
Incredible wine, nearly 20 years young.

September 8, 2013 - Gorgeous wine, somewhere between Barolo, Burgundy and Bordeaux. The perfect modern La Morra-version of a Barolo with an incredible nose, smooth texture and very long and complex finish. At the plateau of maturity. It will keep and it improved in the decanter over 30 minutes, but it could not get any better. Breathtaking.
