April 7, 2024 - Colour: medium garnet with orange rim, legs are medium, plenty very fine sediment
Nose: sweet amarena cherry, spices, leather, cedar
Mouth: sweet cherry, spicy, warming and velvet smooth tannins, medium acidity, excellent balance
Finish: very long and complex, warming, spices,

World class wine now in best drinking window, cork was in superb shape, would easily last another decade. The right wine to celebrate the first communion of my oldest daughter

November 2, 2020 - Still drinking extremely well right now. It is a big, voluptuous offering with nicely integrated tannins and very soft and smooth mouthfeel. The world should drink more Priorat!

October 9, 2016 - Clear, deep, garnet, long, slow tears in 2 lines, some deposit. Nose: clean, med+ intensity, dark fruits, blackberry, black cherry, plum, dried cherry, vanilla, black pepper, some oak, sweetness, wet stone, tobacco and chocolate notes, developing. Palate: dry, acidity med+, alcohol high, tannin med+, body med+, intensity med+, same aromas like in the nose, plus grafit, minerality, dark chocolate, some spicies, finish med+. Very good, can drink now, but has potential for aging. A dark, strong enough, great structured, well balanced wine with well integrated alcohol (slightly burning), deep in the nose, complex in the taste, softly enveloping. The texture is amazing, favourite!

December 11, 2014 - This is the younger brother of the famous Mas Martinet, a complex but approachable blend of 40 % Garnatxa, 40 % Syrah, 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 10 % Merlot. A single farm wine (Mas Torrent – slate soils, near the town of Falset), made by Josep Lluis Pérez (one of the founding fathers of the D.O.Q. Priorat) and his daughter, the famous oenologist Sara Pérez (organic viticulture). Aged for 17 months in 4.000 liter vats (two thirds) and in French 300 liter barriques (one third). Very dark red cherry color with a purple hue on the rim and an adorable bouquet of bramble fruit, kirsch liqueur, rosemary, licorice and some chalky notes. Gorgeous, dense palate, plenty of ripe red berry fruit, with a good depth, nicely resolved tannins and a well-integrated acidity. Long persistent finish with a slight balsamic touch. Needs to breathe at least two hours. Superbly drinking now and should last a good few years.

September 3, 2014 - Bright, bold. Nice but lacks the depth to merit a higher score [Justerini Spanish wine tasting event Sep 1, London].

July 18, 2014 - Holiday Spanish Wines 2014; 7/4/2014-7/21/2014: A blend of Garnatxa and Syrah, this is a very big wine indeed, with lots of ripe jammy fruit that, at least to begin with, somewhat masked its origin. But some trademark Priorat minerality emerged with time. A bold but classy wine, and very more-ish. 15%.
