June 7, 2019 - Solid but showing some age and not as deep/bright as the current incarnations of this wine.

October 24, 2015 - On the nose I get river rocks, lemon, and pineapple. The palate is like a slip and slide with the juicy entry giving way to a rich midpalate redolent of nuts and green apples, and finishing with gripping acidity showing more citrus and talc. This wine lacks the heft of the 2012 Richard's I had last year but is still one of the finest OR chards I've had to date. I think Marcus may actually be more skilled with whites than his reds. Definitely tons of gas on the tank on this one, still a baby.

March 18, 2015 - A bit of tropical fruit, along with a creamy citrus quality buffered by decent acidity. It's pretty good even if not quite my style (would like to see a bit more raciness), but seems a bid muddled right now.

May 2, 2014 - I had this over two nights. At the moment this is not in a very interesting place. Kind of disjointed and brash. Racy acidity. Based on tasting this last February and the pedigree of Matello's white wines, I believe this wine will even out. I will leave my other bottle for 4 or 5 more years.

November 16, 2013 - Low oak, only medium to low acid, and white fruits, pear and apple come to mind. Drinking well for the age. I dont think its his best effort for the vintage, but a great one to drink now. May go 2-5 more years.

November 12, 2013 - Didn't take any notes unfortunately, but i recall a remarkably well balanced wine with a fine texture. Drinking very well. Excellent example of Willamette Valley chardonnay

September 1, 2013 - Pinot Weekend - Second Willamette Valley Trip; 8/30/2013-9/2/2013 (Dundee, OR): Golden styled fruit, soft round lush mouthfeel. Toast is rather prominent again, which according to Marcus is from it's time exposed to lees rather than oak. Didn't quite work for me, maybe will integrate with time. 88
