June 21, 2023 - Nice tertiary notes- mushrooms, forest floor, roast and earth. Fruit is drying up- a little plum but turning toward prune. Good, but probably needs to be drunk.

December 1, 2020 - Some real intensity and tertiary flavours in this but limited fruit left. Very satisfying but I recall it being better at the wine tasting. Worth experiencing more than a really pleasurable wine.

September 23, 2019 - Unfortunately I don't really remember much about this wine compared to the others. I think it was overshadowed some. The age if I remember correctly did mute the fruit so not as intense as some CdP.

March 11, 2019 - Pretty decent. Structured, minerally. Some would say 'stemmy'.

July 24, 2018 - Holiday at Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld; 7/24/2018-7/25/2018 (Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld): "slightly confected red berry, slight aged funkiness; saddle leather especially with a touch of damp cellar, Garrigue, baked earth, white clay, cedar. On the palate there is a smidge of sourness to the red berried fruit, soft, easy, slight front of mouth and tongue coating tannic grip. A little integrated alcohol warmth, a little leathery note to the long finish very much tending to Burgundy kind of wine with time there is some sweet black tea. On it's uppers but superb.

Really good with pan fried stuffed spatchcock warrigal greens and glazed shallots."

May 31, 2018 - Took a while for this to open. Got into the decanter with a small taste every 20 minute so. Burnt red in color. After about an hour it became drinkable. Earthy cherry that finished fast. Small amount of sediment.

September 9, 2017 - Cherry and blueberry, then leather, tobacco, black pepper and coffee. Sweet kirsch with some alcohol feel. Mineral finish. Very slowly evolving wine. Still alive, going strong and I believe it will hold for few years easily. Open a bottle 1-2 hours before tasting at least to make most out of this experience.

February 15, 2017 - SLDS February 2017: Blackcurrant, cherry and pepper. Medium bodied, with the black fruit still showing through. Medium length. Holding very well, but definitely lacking in excitement.

February 16, 2016 - volatile on the nose with some primary fruit initially which faded after 5 minutes. listed as 14% alcohol but a fair bit of heat. Tannins well integrated - a mature mellow wine. Cork was pristine but the wine fell over 30 minutes after decanting. Drink now if you have any.

Purchased from the chateau last year.
