September 14, 2019 - Lovely medium bodied, smokey, meaty, ripe with just a hint of funk on the nose over some cherry fruit. Smooth and nicelty balanced on the palate with again smoke, some meat, a little funk and cherry and blakcberry fruit. Lighter in frame than Cayuse syrah but with similar notes, not sure I could ever pick this out as a tempranillo though. Quite delicious. Look forward to the rest of this tomorrow.

May 24, 2019 - Fabulous as usual. Started drinking after a 3 hour decant. Dark plum fruit, wild aromatics and hints of chocolate. They make these bottles too damn small!

May 16, 2019 - Decanted for two hours. Classic Impulsivo, which means it's loaded with smoky plums and judicious funk. Of all the Cayuse bottlings year in and year out, the Impulsivo repeatedly lands in my top 3. 94pts.

May 4, 2019 - Dallas CTers visit NYC offline: Always excited to see a Cayuse in the line-up and this was my first time trying their Tempranillo. Color is dark and inky. On the nose, the Cayuse funk is there as usual - stinky in a good way. Tastes more red fruited despite the color, with florals and spice - quite delcious.

February 26, 2018 - Seems to need some time to unwind. It is well worth decanting this bottle. Lots of fruit flavors like dried cherries and plums but it need time over the evening to integrate those flavors well on the finish.
