February 26, 2018 - Seems to need some time to unwind. It is well worth decanting this bottle. Lots of fruit flavors like dried cherries and plums but it need time over the evening to integrate those flavors well on the finish.

December 28, 2017 - 4 Guys, 7 Wines, Blind Tasting & Dinner: Not sure what to think of this wine. Many components for a good wine are there with a high aromatic complexity, smooth tannins and an acidity backbone which will give the wine a long life. But today and even with a few hours in the decanter these components were not well integrated. I would advise to wait 5 or rather 10 years before opening a bottle. The 90 points are for the potential. The drinking experience was rather an 80/85.

Update: The last glas two days later was markably better structure wise but still not overly good. No comparison to the 2011 Impulsivo I had some time ago which was amazing.

December 8, 2017 - Soft, smooth, rich, earthy, sweat sox, meaty flavors, less of a fruit forward vintage

November 17, 2017 - Amazing wine. Red fruit on the nose, the palate was dark cherry, red currants, licorice a hint of maple. The finish is long and full. This wine needs time to develop. Unfortunately my impulsive (no pun on words intended) nature forced me to open a bottle and I now plead guilty to infanticide. If you can't wait I would recommend a thee hour decant or a 6 hour slow ox. We opened and poured through a soiree. The first glass was good but the last glass was fantastic. I am putting the rest of the bottles in the back of the cellar with a 2020 tag on them.

August 20, 2017 - Much better than the first two bottles, dark brooding fruit, some funk reminding me of a stinky Rhone, silky oily texture, cherry, pomegranate. Drinking well right now but no need to be in a hurry, 3-5 years of improvement IMHO.
