March 6, 2024 - Drinking very nicely. Nice balance and, although not complex, the fruit is pure and intense. No hurry to drink.

March 23, 2023 - 12.5% alcohol. Lovely colourful label. Very short cork of pretty good quality with virtually no wine penetration. Decanted 45mn ahead. Dark colour with some thinning at the edge of the rim.
Classy cool nose of black olive and fresh dark berries with some sun-dried tomatoes added. In the mouth, the acidity is very present but it does not dominate too much; dark fruited and immensely lively at the same time in that inimitable Northern Rhône way. Good length and no sign of oak.
Drinks well now in a slightly edgy way, with more comfort to come with further ageing. A success.

PS: looking back at my previous note (06/2021), I see that I liked the wine much better now than then, partly because of bottle age but also maybe because of better food pairing (steak and duck fat potatoes this time).

October 12, 2022 - Gently double decanted. Jubey blackberry fruit with a blue berry underpin, touch of pepperiness, smidge of crushed rock minerality. Nice nose. In the mouth it's wetly juicy, flavours pretty much as nose implies - the tannins have that sucking a pebble quality. Bloody lovely.

August 11, 2022 - From Coravin. Initially meaty, savoury, but with some peppery spice and jubey black fruits - kind of brambles - and touches of crushed rock and smoky notes. Lovely nose. Staying towards medium plus intensity acidity, wetly juicy, fresh brambly fruit, jubey, lovely, long, slight peppery notes on the finish. Yumptious.

May 6, 2022 - Clear red colour. Steak fruits and spice on nose. Lovely flavours - dark cherries, slight earthiness and a touch of lavender. Very well balanced. Drinking perfectly.
