Community Tasting Notes 2

September 12, 2014 - Hmmm...needs a light chill and at least an hour decanting. This helps blow off the initial bright, tart and over the top fruit experience...approaching cough syrup. After some time in bottle (and into next day) way more approachable, evens out to a fruit forward dark berry/cherry experience that has just underripe fruit. Nice and decent for price, but really needs aging or careful decanting prior to service. I re-evaluated scoring compared to previous.

August 23, 2014 - New in from Opimian and had a quick taste...Nose is slightly musty but has distinct red fruit. Palate is sweet with slightly underripe red cherries full on. Light acid and tannin make this very quaffable and good mix with a variety of fare, perhaps even something on the spicey side. There is also some vanilla in background with also a hint of tobbaco - both coming in mid/late palate into the med duration finish. Worth its lower price and would not sample again for over 12months to let the fruit mature 1 notch.
